From a girl member of the board to the president of the Council, Renelda Mack has brought a lot to Girl Scouting and to our community. As a girl member in 1979, Renelda was already demonstrating her commitment to and advocacy for girls. As a Senior Girl Scout, she was selected to represent our council at two Wider Opportunities. She continued to serve Girl Scouts as an assistant leader to a Girl Guide Company while studying in Scotland. Renelda came back to serve her home council, joining the board in 1998 and serving as president from 2002-2004. During her tenure, this very busy civil rights attorney founded an innovative Girl Scout troop at a regional detention center, and helped girls explore careers in law.
